Shannon Miller has updated us on her BabyPlus baby Rocco's progress....

*Photo by Susan MichalShannon Miller used the BabyPlus Prenatal Education System with her first child, and we have been eagerly following his progress ever since his delivery:

"Rocco started crawling a couple weeks ago and every day he is more  active exploring everything and everywhere! We are so blessed to have  such a happy little boy. He loves his sleep and still makes it through the night 12 hours! That certainly helps me recharge and get things done after he goes to bed so I can make the most of my time with him while he is awake. He hasn't found *Photo by Susan Michalanything he doesn't like to  eat....anything.   I am so thankful that I used BabyPlus. I know it's
made a difference and I have to admit it makes me feel good when  people remark on how alert, calm and curious he is. Thank you BabyPlus!"

We see that Shannon Miller's baby Rocco is exhibiting the tangible benefits parents all over the world have come to expect in their BabyPlus babies.

Thank you Shannon Miller!

Just take a quick look at these darling twins!

I say it all the time - we LOVE LOVE LOVE getting pictures of "our" BabyPlus babies.

The two darlings have a four year old sibling, so this BabyPlus mom knows the benefits of Completely darling, yes????using the BabyPlus Prenatal Education System.

We have many sets of multiples whose parents used BabyPlus during pregnancy.  The feedback we receive from these parents consistently indicates that their babies are exhibiting the tangible benefits of using the BabyPlus curriculum.

"Our" parents of multiples have seen the same benefits (better sleeping, nursing, self soothing, school readiness, etc.) as the mothers of single babies.  Frequently, twins are born early, and the mothers of babies who were not full term have seen amazing results.  We have had mothers of premature babies report that their babies are reaching their milestones based on their birth age, as opposed to gestational age.  They have also reported shorter hospital stays when compared to other premature babies.

BabyPlus is a series of 16 Lessons based on the mother's heartbeat.  Used during the critical period in prenatal development, this innovative prenatal care curriculum will provide your baby (or babies!) with an appropriate amount of stimulation.  The benefits of infant stimulation are many - read any article on prenatal development and you will learn that baby development after birth is directly impacted by what happens in the day by day pregnancy.

Another satisfied BabyPlus Mommy - and a very proud Aunt!

Friday, August 13, 2010 by Cindy Wallander
I was so lucky recently to spend some time with a BabyPlus Mommy and a very proud Aunt - these two gals just couldn't tell me enough about this adorable 15 month old boy...

In their own words:

Many BabyPlus parents recommend BabyPlus to a friend!"He slept through the night at two weeks.  He can answer "What does a cow say?" "Moo"  He is easy going and has met or exceeded every milestone so far.  He knows sign language -  food, more, please, thank you, dog, milk... He already says mommy, daddy, more, please, down, doggy.  If I say "Go get your shoes"  he will go get them and sit down.

He began walking at ten months.  He is now putting Friends and family members rave about BabyPlus! words together into short sentences like more please and down doggy.  He has always been easy going and not much of a crier.  When he was 11 months old we took a plane to California.  He fell asleep at take off and woke up when plane landed both ways.

He eats well.  He knows where his raisins are in the pantry and will walk in, get his raisins, then get his bowl and hand both to his mom.  We tell him the dog is sleeping and make the shhh sound, so now when the dog is sleeping he makes the shhhh sound."

I had such a great time with these two gals, and I can't wait to watch him as he grows.  He is darling!

Image source: gosublogger.comCan't hardly believe that Danica McKellar is pregnant!  Danica McKellar is best known for her role as Winnie in The Wonder Years.  Danica McKellar married composer Mike Verta last year, and now they are pregnant!

According to the article Danica is reading "a lot about parenthood."  The article listed several books she is reading about parenting and what happens after delivery.

Danica will also likely want to know more about what happens BEFORE delivery - in the prenatal period.  The prenatal period is critical to the lifelong learning process of your baby.  Using the BabyPlus Prenatal Education System - a simple, safe set of sounds based on the mother's heartbeat - while pregnant encourages cognitive development.  Danica will find out that learning in the womb is not a new idea - many cultures have believed in and practiced forms of prenatal stimulation for years.

Since this is Danica McKellar's first pregnancy, she will likely read about the stages of fetal development and all the stages through pregnancy.  Being first time parents, Danica and Mike will be encouraged by the many parents who report that using BabyPlus positively impacted the infant sleeping schedule.  BabyPlus parents all over the world report their BabyPlus babies more readily nurse, have increased ability to self-soothe, and have great sleeping habits.

BabyPlus congratulates Danica McKellar, her husband Mike Verta and their baby!

speaking of twins....

Source: melissadphotography.blogspot.com/We had visitors last week!  Two adorable BabyPlus babies - they are 11 months old already!

As I have mentioned before - there are so many amazing benefit of working at BabyPlus US HQ - including the office visits we get from "our" babies.

They were both so calm and sweet.  Sister was walking - just started!  Brother was not feeling well, yet he was so calm and NOT FUSSY!  We passed them around so we would all get a chance to love on them, and they were perfectly content.

Momma of the twins told us how easy they are to parent.  She raved and raved - and we could see the results right in front of our eyes!

We have had many mothers of twins use the BabyPlus Prenatal Education System who have been very pleased with the results.  They have seen the same benefits (better sleeping, nursing, self soothing, school readiness, etc.) as the mothers of single babies.  Frequently, twins are born early and the mothers of babies who were not full term have seen amazing results.  We have had mothers of premature babies report that their babies are reaching their milestones based on their birth age, as opposed to gestational age.  They have also reported shorter hospital stays when compared to other premature babies.

"I don’t think buying this is about trying to make your baby a genius but if you are interested in giving your baby a bit of a headstart, surely it’s worth a go...."

Monday, July 19, 2010 by Cindy Wallander
BabyPlus is used all over the world! These are the words of a UK BabyPlus "mum"

"I was recommended BabyPlus by a friend who used it during her two pregnancies and raved about it. To be perfectly honest I was skeptical but after reading up on it decided that it couldn’t do any harm so thought that I had nothing to lose. I began using it at 18 weeks of pregnancy as the manufacturer recommends for an hour in the morning (I set the alarm an hour earlier to put it on in bed!!) and an hour after work. I soon grew to love this time as it was a part of the day that I could really focus on the pregnancy and the baby. At about week 20, the baby started to kick and soon would move and squirm during our `sessions’ which was wonderful so if nothing else I felt that I was really bonding with the baby. I wasn’t religious in using it and missed the odd lesson but fit them in whenever I could.

My baby arrived on his due date and at birth his eyes were wide open and he was alert observing his surroundings. He latched on fairly easily straight away and has been a good feeder ever since. His sleeping patterns were fairly sociable from the off and he slept through the night from about 3 months which I believe is unusual! He is developing well and I get many comments about how he seems advanced for his age. He is my first baby so I don’t know but certainly he seems to be slightly ahead of his buddies of the same age from the antenatal classes.

It’s hard to say whether or not BabyPlus is the reason that our little boy is doing so well but is does seem a coincidence and having convinced other friends of it’s benefits and who have used it they seem to be sharing the same experience. I think that there are many factors that contribute to a happy baby but I would say that if I was to have another child I would certainly use BabyPlus again because I feel it would be unfair not to give my other children the same start. It may be on the pricy side but it is well worth the investment giving the amount of research that is reported to have gone into the product, and certainly my experience is that it does seem to work! If I had another child, I would not want to miss out on giving them the same opportunity.

I don’t think buying this is about trying to make your baby a genius but if you are interested in giving your baby a bit of a headstart, surely it’s worth a go!

There’s lots of useful info on the BabyPlus website about the scientific research which is great if you need a bit more convincing!"

As usual, "our" parents are the very best!

Infant Sleeping Schedule

Friday, June 18, 2010 by Cindy Wallander
Prenatal sleep states remain undisturbed by BabyPlus stimulation.

Expectant mothers and fathers have asked how their baby will sleep once born.  We understand that the idea of baby stimulation could lead to that question.  BabyPlus babiesYour baby will have great sleep habits! have wonderful sleep patterns; plus, they have an increased ability to self-sooth.

The sound level to the baby is strictly controlled for both pitch and volume.  Dr. Brent Logan spent 25 years studying the normal environment of the developing baby, and BabyPlus is carefully designed to present sounds for the prenatal infant at a very safe but audible level.

The baby hears the sounds of its mother's heartbeat at approximately 95 decibels, as loud as a rock band, constantly.   Moreover, normal sounds in a mother's environment--television, radio, loud remarks, traffic--reach the fetus at volumes similar to that of her heartbeat yet the baby still sleeps through this noise most of the time, even though its brain is always monitoring these sounds.

BabyPlus is designed to produce an external sound of about  90 to 95  decibels, which is then reduced by 30-35 decibels as it is filtered through the mother's abdominal wall, reaching the unborn infant at  60-65 decibels, well below the sound level of the mother's blood.  BabyPlus therefore has a scientifically engineered sound ceiling which is always less than that of the natural sonic environment of the womb.  More than 150,000+ families worldwide have attested to its safety and effectiveness.  Overstimulation does not occur because, like the maternal bloodpulse, this sound is so familiar to the developing baby. The tones are natural, and the sound level is appropriate.

Remember - the womb is not a "soundproof booth."  Your baby is hearing everything all day long.  The purpose of prenatal stimulation is to use a sound your baby is very familiar with - the mother's heartbeat - during the critical period in prenatal development.

BabyPlus and Multiples!

Parents of BabyPlus babies report better sleeping, nursing, self soothing, and school readiness.  All this and more from a simple set of sounds used twice a day!

We have also had many mothers of twins and triplets use BabyPlus who have been very pleased with the results.  They have seen the same benefits as the mothers of single babies and have reported reaching milestones based on birth age as opposed to gestational age.  They have also reported shorter hospital stays when compared to other premature babies.

Calculate your lesson plan as normal using the chart provided with your BabyPlus.  Since most births of multiples do not go full term, we will be happy to re-calculate your lesson plan once you reach about seven months of pregnancy and have a better idea of when you will deliver.  Please contact customer service with any questions or with help calculating your usage schedule.

Once your babies become more active as you grow, some discomfort may be experienced.  Simply limit the duration of each session to once a day and even shorten your lessons if desired.  Your little ones will receive the same great benefits of BabyPlus!

cutest baby ever - a must see!

BabyPlus babies are alert and relaxed! One of the many perks of working the the BabyPlus US main office is the opportunity to see DARLING babies quite often.

We had a 3 month old baby visitor this morning.  She was so content and happy.  She was sleeping when she arrived, and she never made one sound as we passed her around to hold and snuggle.  Her mom told us that she gives her a bottle at 9:00 PM and puts her to bed.  BabyPlus babies are interactive and responsive! She sleeps all the way through the night - every night!  Her mom also said she has to wake her up some mornings because she snoozes until 7:00 AM.

She is also beginning to learn sign language.  Yes - at three months old - sign language!!  We couldn't believe how she would sit up, make eye contact, smile... she was just a great baby.  Oh, and by the way, did I mention that she is a BabyPlus baby???
