Bethenny will do everything she can to impact the prenatal environment nutritionally. She knows to eat right and take a prenatal vitamin. She knows what foods to include and what foods to avoid during the stages of development.
The important time period of the stages of fetal development call for more than just nutritional benefits, though. The use of the BabyPlus Prenatal Education System during these critical times in child development is one of the things a pregnant mom such as Bethenny will choose.
Congratulations to Bethenny and to any pregnant mom who chooses to give her child the gift of a lifetime by using the BabyPlus Prenatal Education System! No more Skinnygirl™ Margaritas for a while!
BabyPlus - see Shannon Miller using BabyPlus - in Times Square and Las Vegas!
While simply walking down the street you can see photos of Shannon wearing her BabyPlus Prenatal Education System. This is in both Times Square and in Las Vegas!
Shannon says, "Like any parent, we want our child to have every advantage we can give him. BabyPlus helps us do that."
Miller is expecting her first baby in late October and has been using BabyPlus during pregnancy to ensure her child gets the best possible start on life and learning. Now she’s sharing her experience and enthusiasm for BabyPlus with other expectant moms around the world.
Shannon Miller has realized the importance of fetal development during the critical periods in prenatal development. The benefits of infant stimulation are many. Like Shannon, you can directly impact your infant's sleeping schedule with this safe, simple set of 16 lessons based on the mother's heartbeat sounds.
If you’re trying to get pregnant or are newly expecting, “One of the most important things you can do to help prevent serious birth defects in your baby is to get enough folic acid every day,” says KidsHealth.org.
Folic acid is a B vitamin crucial to the development of DNA, playing a big role in promoting cell growth and tissue formation. And according to the American Pregnancy Association, folic acid is also important in making the extra blood your body needs during pregnancy.
All of that means taking folic acid can help reduce the risk of your fetus developing a neural tube defect by up to 70 percent. Some of the conditions you can avoid with folic acid include:
Spina bifida – an incomplete closure of the spinal cord and spinal column
Anencephaly – severe underdevelopment of the brain
Encephalocele – an abnormal opening in the skull causing brain tissue to protrude out to the skin
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommend that if you are a woman of childbearing age you should consume 400 micrograms of folic acid every day. You should do this even if you aren’t planning a pregnancy because, in truth, about half of all pregnancies are unplanned.
A lot of focus goes into pregnancy like what to eat or drink. A lot of focus also goes into after the baby is born like names or choosing whether or not to breastfeed. But what about focusing on positively influencing the womb environment during development?
So many different things happen during the stages of fetal development, and so many factors can affect development that it is natural to want to have only positive actions during such a critical time.
As a mom, you want to do everything to protect your children from negative influences. So what better way to positively influence your baby than to introduce an element that is already present in the womb during development--your heartbeat.
BabyPlus is a simple set of sounds similar to the mother's heartbeat, which is a constant element in the womb. By stimulating learning during the important stages of fetal development, a foundation for learning throughout life is reinforced.
Yesterday, a co-worker and I went to a friend's business to answer questions about blogging. The question we asked was "Why do you want to blog?" They said they want to spread the word about their business and the services and support they provide to the public. We agreed.
We blog to spread the benefits of prenatal learning when using the BabyPlus Prenatal Education System. We talk about why it's important to use BabyPlus during the critical stages of fetal development. We also share the results so many families have seen in addition to many other topics.
Blogging gives us a way to share our day-to-day experiences and findings in the world of prenatal learning and pregnancy.
BabyPlus is about the importance of infant development, and Shannon Miller knows that fetal development in stages is the time for our prenatal care curriculum.
Shannon wants all expectant parents to know the benefits of learning in the womb using the mother's heartbeat sounds, so she is blogging about BabyPlus!
"One of my good friends just announced she is pregnant with her second child. She has given me such wonderful advice throughout my pregnancy and I'm excited to give her the gift of BabyPlus next week!"
BabyPlus is the perfect gift - for parents and their baby-to-be!
We were not surprised at all that Shannon Miller, the most decorated gymnast (male or female) in U.S. history, decided to use BabyPlus while pregnant. Shannon Miller is the only female athlete to be inducted into the US Olympic Hall of Fame, twice! (Individual in 2006 and Team 2008).
Shannon and her husband John Falconetti are expecting their first child, and we are thrilled that they have chosen to use our the BabyPlus Prenatal Education System during Shannon’s pregnancy. They seem genuinely excited about the strengthened learning capabilities our product can provide their child.
We know they did extensive research on how to best benefit their baby during the stages of fetal development.
In her own words: "Like any parent, we want our child to have every advantage we can give him. BabyPlus helps us do that." - SM
BabyPlus lessons are both simple and safe to use. They are designed to be played for one hour, twice a day. For optimal benefits, start using BabyPlus any time between 18-34 weeks of pregnancy.

"People are so amazed by our little one that two friends who are currently expecting their first children as well have asked about BabyPlus, one couple has already bought theirs and has begun using it - not because of my swaying but because of what they see in our daughter.
I cannot thank BabyPlus enough for creating something so amazing for our little something so amazing!"
We are happy to be a part of a baby's fetal development with our prenatal curriculum of a mother's heartbeat sounds. We know BabyPlus babies are pretty wonderful, and we love when "our" moms reach out to us like this! Thank you gals!
BabyPlus - my first gift to my second daughter is BabyPlus.....
"I come from a large family & have been around a lot of babies because of it. I do have to say (without being biased as she is my daughter) that she truly is remarkable. From the moment she was born she was wide eyed, alert, very calm and easily adaptable. She never once has fussed or cried or had a hard time with any type of transition we have introduced her to (such as breast to bottle, sleeping in a bassinet in our bedroom to her crib in her own room, formula to solids, etc.). She goes with the flow quite well and that's just the beginning. She has met each one of her milestones months in advance than expected for her age. She began walking at about 8 months, saying a lot of words by 9 months (at 11 months she shocked us all, by repeating the word "opposite" that she overheard my husband say while on the phone. It wasn't a one time deal, she says it all the time as well) and is doing great recognizing written words such as "Hi" "Cat" "Dog". She can communicate with me using words to let me know if she needs something. For example, this morning she was hungry and pointed at the fruit bowl and asked me for a "banana". When she wants water she asks for "water". She is forever curious and always trying to figure things out.
Our second daughter is due this November and you better believe that my first gift to her was BabyPlus as well!"

"The brain is like a parachute: It works best when it’s open."
I love this sentence! This is from an article titled "Baby's first classroom" in the September issue of Pregnancy Magazine written by Brooks Lea Foster.
Learning in the womb is not a new idea. In fact, as far back as 500 BC Confucius suggested that the fetal environment can determine behavior.
What I love about this article is that so many people are really focused on the fact that the prenatal environment has a huge impact on a baby's long-term health and wellness.
Read the entire article by clicking on the "In-Utero Education" picture. Then, visit www.babyplus.com to learn more about the benefits of the BabyPlus curriculum.
The BabyPlus curriculum is a series of 16 naturally derived sounds that resemble a mother's heartbeat used during infant development. The rhythm of the sounds increases incrementally as the pregnancy progresses. The BabyPlus sonic pattern introduces your child to a sequential learning process, built upon the natural rhythms of their own environment.
This "auditory exercise" strengthens learning ability during the developmental period when the advantages will be most significant and enduring for a child. BabyPlus is the first educational tool designed for prenatal use that has been proven effective for use during the stages of fetal development.
Your baby can very clearly hear these patterns. She/he learns to discriminate between the sound coming from the mother and those from BabyPlus. In other words, learning has begun.
The sound level to the baby is strictly controlled for both pitch and volume. Dr. Logan spent many years studying the normal environment of the developing baby, and BabyPlus® is carefully designed to present sounds to the prenatal infant at a very safe but audible level.
Normal sounds in a mother's environment, such as television, loud remarks, and traffic, reach the fetus at volumes similar to that of her heartbeat yet the baby still sleeps through it most of the time, even though its brain is monitoring the sound. BabyPlus is designed to produce an external sound of about 105 decibels, which is then reduced by 30-35 decibels as it is filtered through the mother's abdominal wall, reaching the unborn infant at 70-75 decibels, well below the sound level of the mother's blood.
BabyPlus therefore has a scientifically engineered sound ceiling which is always less that the natural sonic environment of the womb. More than 150,000+ families worldwide have attested to its safety and effectiveness. Over stimulation does not occur because the sound is so familiar to the developing baby. The tones are natural and the sound level is safe. Of the 150,000+ BabyPlus children born to date, there has never been a case of hearing damage--or any other detrimental effect from the product.
Think about it - your baby is not in a sound-proof booth! Baby is hearing so much during the prenatal months - why not use sounds that are scientifically proven and researched???
I know this sounds very "science-y" - but the truth is, the BabyPlus is an unbelievable way of enabling your child to have the ability to learn easily and well throughout his or her life. What parent wouldn't want these benefits?
Okay...I'll admit it. I'm a Phineas and Ferb nut! We have a DVR recording set and watch it as a family. My youngest son even won me a stuffed blue duck that looks like Perry the platypus because I love Phineas and Ferb so much. We were watching an episode called The Baljeatles and about four minutes in, Dr. Doofenshmirtz starts reading to Perry about how before a baby is born, the soothing and steady beat of the mother's heartbeat is a constant companion. He also talked about how after the baby is born it is a safe and calming beacon to a growing child.
While Dr. Doofenshmirtz plans on using the heartbeat sounds for his "evil plans", BabyPlus is using a mother's heartbeat sounds for enriching the prenatal environment--a good plan!
We most certainly agree that the mother's heartbeat is a comforting sound both before and after a baby is born. We also feel that the mother's heartbeat plays a significant part during the important stages of fetal development.
Maybe this simple cartoon will bring attention to the important role of the mother's heartbeat. Now, as far as the army of babies goes, we'll leave that to Dr. Doofenshmirtz.
I have written many times about how enjoyable working in Customer Service at BabyPlus is. I must now vent a bit about something that is a little frustrating to me. There are people who truly do not know exactly what BabyPlus is and then feel they can write about something they don't even know about.
I guess I take it personally because I truly love this company and believe in the concept of prenatal curriculum. It's easy to feel hurt when someone tells only half a story about an idea that is important to you. I can respect someone else's opinion...only as long as they have all the facts and know all the details. I know that there will be people who, even after researching, don't agree with the ideas of learning in the womb and encouraging cognitive development during stages of fetal development. However, I know that science is always discovering new and exciting developments and it's only time before society catches up.
When the concept of prenatal curriculum is broken down to its basic concepts, it makes complete sense. If the mother's heartbeat encourages learning before birth, it makes sense to use a derivative to reinforce it. I think that sometimes people do not take the time to learn and make up their minds before they truly know the entire picture. If they did, they would learn that we are not promising genius babies or perfect babies. We are just offering a tool that enhances the blueprint that the baby will already be born with.
So the next time you think you know everything about something, take a few extra minutes to make sure you are right and that you have the whole story.
Well, this seems to be a hot topic for debate on blogs all over the Internet. Everyone has an opinion...
From the perspective of the BabyPlus Company, however, this is more about developing your child for a lifetime of learning.
We understand the concept of pushing kids to hard; we do not advocate for that idea. Rather, we advocate for the idea of making sure your baby has all the developmental tools available during your pregnancy.
The prenatal environment is critical to the long-term health of your baby. Keep in mind, this short amount of time in your womb can create the structure for your baby's cognitive and physical development - not just as an infant but well into the schooling years and beyond.
BabyPlus parents are confident that the BabyPlus Prenatal Education System is a must-have for all pregnancies. "Our" parents are adamant about the fact that the use of this early learning opportunity during the stages of fetal development will absolutely have a positive effect on your baby that lasts a lifetime. We continually speak to parents who are truly puzzled that anyone would not use this opportunity for learning in the womb. We agree! In fact, our recent poll of BabyPlus parents indicated an incredible 97% would recommend BabyPlus to a friend.
There is NO OTHER PRODUCT available like BabyPlus because BabyPlus was created by a developmental psychologist. This simple and safe set of 16 audio lessons is used when learning begins - in the womb. This auditory exercise unlocks your baby's potential as he or she learns to differentiate the progressive patterns of BabyPlus from your heartbeat.

Many years ago, pregnant women just did what was natural with little thought to nutrition or outside influences. When prenatal vitamins were first suggested, I'm sure that women were thinking that it was a fad, a scam or a money making scheme. Doctors didn't know about how folic acid impacted a developing baby. Now we know how essential it is during pregnancy and what birth defects it can prevent. However, I should point out that folic acid does not guarantee the prevention of birth defects but increases the odds they will prevented.
Today, taking a prenatal vitamin isn't given a second thought and is strongly encouraged for many reasons learned over the years. Why wouldn't using a prenatal curriculum be the same? We are learning more and more about the prenatal environment every day.
It is safe to assume that influencing a baby's cognitive development during fetal stages can be one such factor. The realization that learning in the womb actually takes place and that learning begins before birth is giving way to prenatal education in mainstream ideas.
The brain is a complex organ and scientists only know a fraction about it and its functions. To push aside an idea is a little premature. Using a prenatal curriculum during pregnancy has so many great benefits. BabyPlus doesn't guarantee a genius baby, a perfect sleeper or a highly gifted child, but it does increase the odds of strengthening the cognitive blueprint.
While pregnant, we try to eat well and take care of the fetal environment nutritiously........but we also must take care of the fetal environment during critical times in early cognitive development. You don’t have to "give up" all the foods you love when you’re pregnant - you just need make sure that most of your choices are healthy ones. Try to mix things up a bit - that way you will be getting your nutrients without getting bored with your choices. I love fruits and vegetables, so this was not hard for me! Good prenatal care is essential in the short term and the long term.
Take advantage of the abundance of fruit and vegetable at the farmer's market or grocery aisles to add a fresh, seasonal variety to your menu!
Remember - everything you do now - while pregnant - will impact your child for a lifetime!

Is there that much of a difference between playing music and using BabyPlus? Absolutely!
While appropriate for infants and young children, music is too complex for a developing baby. BabyPlus simplifies the complexity of music and breaks it down to a "language" your baby can understand--a single beat. By introducing BabyPlus, a similar beat relative to his or her environment, learning begins during the most important stages of fetal development.
There is no doubt that after your baby is born, music is a wonderful tool. Start out simple and then once your baby is born, you can work up to building an appreciation for music.
With the amount of information you can find on the internet these days, there are bound to be some details that are not exactly accurate. You probably read blogs, Facebook pages, and Twitter updates and wonder: Is this stuff really true? Today we are going to correct some of those myths that you might have read in the past.
Myth: Standing on your head after sex can increase your chances of becoming pregnant.
Truth: Some experts say that lying down after sex for 20 to 30 minutes can boost your chances of conception because it keeps the sperm inside you. However, standing on your head is NOT a proven aid in conception.
Myth: The shape and height of your belly can indicate your baby's gender. Truth: This popular belief that women carry girls high and boys low just isn't true. The shape and height of your belly is determined by your muscle tone, uterus, and the position the baby is in. That's why someone may think you're having a boy because you're carrying low, when actually the baby just dropped lower into the pelvis because you're closer to delivery.
Myth: Fetal heart rate can indicate your baby's sex. Truth: A normal fetal heart rate is between 120 and 160 beats per minute (bpm), although some people think if it's faster (usually above the 140 bpm range) it's a girl and if it's slower it's a boy. There have been no studies that show that heart rate is a predictor for a baby's sex. Your baby's heart rate will probably differ from prenatal visit to prenatal visit anyway — depending on the age of the fetus and fetal development at the time of the visit.
Myth: The shape and fullness of your face during pregnancy can indicate your baby's gender. Truth: Every woman gains weight differently during pregnancy, and every woman experiences different skin changes. If people tell you that because your face is round and rosy you're having a girl, you might want to think about getting an ultrasound instead!
