Parents of BabyPlus babies report better sleeping, nursing, self soothing, and school readiness.
We have also had many mothers of twins and triplets use the system and have been very pleased with the results. They have seen the same benefits as the mothers of single babies as well as reported reaching milestones based on birth age as opposed to gestational age. They have also reported shorter hospital stays when compared to other premature babies.
Calculate your lesson plan as normal using the chart provided with your BabyPlus. Since most births of multiples do not go full term, we will be happy to re-calculate your lesson plan

once you reach about seven months of pregnancy and have a better idea of when you will deliver. Please email customerservice@babyplus.com with any questions or with help calculating your usage schedule.
Once your babies become more active as you grow, some discomfort may be experienced. Simply limit the duration of each session to once a day and even shorten your lessons if desired. Your little ones will receive the same great benefits of BabyPlus!
"I am a labor/delivery nurse in Billings MT. I have five married children. I was introduced to BabyPlus at the AWHONN Leadership Conference in 2008. I spoke to a BabyPlus representative, pondering whether BabyPlus would help my pregnant daughter, who had such severe hyperemesis she was asking "what is the earliest I can have this baby and it survive?" BabyPlus helped my daughter refocus on her baby, and she used the monitor daily as instructed.
She delivered prematurely at 34 weeks, and her little baby was distressed and frantic in the NICU until we retrieved the BabyPlus system from hom
e. Whenever we played BabyPlus, she settled down and went to sleep. Her oxygen levels rapidly stabilized, she grew and gained weight rapidly, and was discharged two weeks later. She is now 22 months old, very precocious, talking in sentences, and passed all her newborn milestones ahead of schedule. My daughter-in-law used BabyPlus when she was pregnant, and again, we are seeing the positive effects. Her baby has a keen sense of hearing, and recognizes tones and pitches quickly. He loves music and dances up and down whenever he hears any. I have recommended the BabyPlus to other pregnant people, especially those experiences complications with their pregnancy, as I feel it helps them keep 'in touch' with their unborn baby."
How many of you really want to exercise during pregnancy? Let's be honest, how many of us really want to exercise ever? Exercise during pregnancy is probably more important than any other time in your life. I am a person who actually does like to work out so I thought it might be good to share a few tips with you on how to accomplish this feat:
- Walking - This is one of the best cardiovascular exercises that a pregnant woman can do. It is low impact and does not require any equipment or gym memberships.
- Swimming - Now I am not the best swimmer out there so I cannot actually vouch for this one. Doctors say that it is great for working out the entire body and is easy on your joints because you feel weightless in the water.
- Wii - There is a nifty new game out there called the Wii Fit which gives you a variety of exercises to keep you in top shape. They are not too difficult and even celeb moms such as Heidi Klum are using it.
- Yoga - It will help keep you flexible while building muscles.
Coupling this with the use of
BabyPlus is a great way to give your baby the head start he/she needs. Scheduling
BabyPlus into your day can give your baby a few advantages such as learning to feed quickly, better motor skills, sleeping through the night and more.

I receive many of the same questions in Customer Service. A common question is regarding the Usage Chart and how many days to use each lesson.
To determine how many days to use each of the 16 lesson is to take the number of weeks remaining in your pregnancy (based on a 40 week pregnancy) and multiply by 7 to get the total days remaining. Then divide that total by 16 (number of lessons). The result is the number of days that you should play each of the 16 segments.
For example, if you are 19 weeks along, you have approximately 21 weeks left in your pregnancy. You would multiple 21 by 7 to get 147 days, which you would divide by 16 and get 9. You would use each lesson 9 days and switch to the next lesson on day 10.
If you are referring to the chart, it can sometimes be confusing. The chart is to be used just once to determine your schedule. For example, if you are in your 24th week of pregnancy when you start the BabyPlus, you will use each lesson twice a day for 7 days. Just find the week you are pregnant in the first column and the second column will show you how many days you will use each lesson twice a day.
Once you reach Lesson 16, you will listen to it until you deliver. It may be a shorter or longer number of days than you have used the other lessons.

Google "baby advice" and you will see over 84,000,000 results.
Well, here at BabyPlus, we think our moms are very wise! I love finding out the best advice someone's mom gave them...so I asked people here in the BabyPlus office, and found that many of us have been hearing the same things from our moms...
"Be what you want your children to become. They become who you are - MODEL."

"Stay consistent."
"Your child will know when and if you are able to be swayed from a decision."
"Write out a daily schedule when they are infants."
"Read to your children as much as possible."
"Make sure your children know that no means no - the first time."
"Routine is important - especially at bedtime."
"Use distraction...show them what they CAN get into instead of always NO."
"Engage your children as much as possible. Get down on the floor and look into their eyes and PLAY."
or - this one is funny, too - "I hope you do a better job than I did."Don't we all?
Summer is the time to relax, unwind, and reconnect with your kids. Summer is also a great time to catch up on reading, and to encourage your kids to read, too.

One idea is to check your local library. Many libraries have summer reading programs designed to get kids reading. One benefit of using BabyPlus is that your baby will be a lifelong learner, and that means a lot of reading. Schedule frequent trips to the library - even if there is not a reading program - so your little reader will have many opportunities to
read, read, read!
My kids think the best things about summer reading are
they get to
choose what to read
and reading is
completely for pleasure. Occasionally I might ask them to tell me about the book - but no quizzes or tests will occur!

Go to npr.org by clicking their logo, and see what books have made their list for summer reading with kids.

Becoming a parent for the first time can be a little scary. There is an overwhelming amount of information about what to do and what not to do. It can be quite intimidating. By stepping back and taking time to decide what you want can help you begin to narrow down what things to research further. An example would be a baby's feeding schedule. On one hand, some say to set the baby's schedule and feed them only at specific times. On the other hand, some say to feed the baby when they act hungry and to not depend too much on the clock to dictate the schedule. There is a lot of information to support both sides but each method may not fit everyone. Think about what type of lifestyle you will lead after the baby is born and how feeding will fit into it. Once you've decided what would be best for you, then research more into that method.
Always remember
there are no hard and fast rules to parenting so if something doesn't feel right or doesn't work, try something else. Take cues from your baby and above all, try not to over think or get stressed. You'll find that your baby is quite forgiving and won't hold it against you if you don't know everything!
My new niece is one week old as of yesterday. I know everyone says it, but where on earth did the time go? It seems like such a short time ago I was bringing my 13 and 10 year old sons home from the hospital. (I'm sounding more and more like my mother every day!)
I think we all agree that life tends to speed up as we get older. There's really nothing we can do, so how do we work with this? I think the most important thing is not to take each day--each moment--for granted. I love the thought of being in the moment and being in the now. I really try to remind myself of this but it's not easy! Because before I know it, I will be watching my sons get married and have families of their own, and I'm not quite ready for that!
There are a lot of ideas to slow down with your family. For example, once a week schedule time to sit as a family and play a board game. My family loves board games and Santa

brings a couple new ones every year. At least once a week, the TV gets shut off and we pop popcorn and play. Another idea that I've been trying to incorporate is a cup of tea before bed. I have trouble settling my mind at night and really have to focus on relaxing. Babies thrive on bedtime routines so why should it not benefit us as adults?
I think in the end finding the small joys and chilaxing, as my kids say, is worth the extra time and effort. After a while, slowing down will become more habit and help create memories not only for your family but for you as a mom as well.
BabyPlus - my baby moves a lot - is this OK?
To answer this common Customer Service question – yes, feeling your baby move is quite normal!
Physical response by an unborn child to BabyPlus is typical; depending on the genetically determined personality, these movements may include gently rubbing the speaker locations with arms, legs, hands, elbows, or shoulders, some infants will attempt moving their ear as close as possible to the source, while others are more vigorous, kicking at it. These responses represent a learned, repetitive activity to probably the only events in a prenatal day that are scheduled, a form of play in an otherwise randomized environment.
We have had moms report that this is a time of special bonding with their unborn child - almost as if they are playing already!

How many times a day do we feel we tell our kids the same things over and over and that it just goes in one ear and out the other? I know with my boys, I feel like I'm constantly repeating myself and they don't hear a word. Kinda like in A Christmas Story when Ralphie is told numerous times that he would shoot his eye out if he got a Red Ryder BB gun. But every now and then there is small evidence that they actually did hear me and absorbed what I was saying even if I didn't think they were. Maybe the repetition eventually sinks in whether they are aware or not.
Repetition is how we learn, even before we are even born! Prenatal curriculum is based on this idea. The repetition of the simple set of sounds that resembles the mother's heartbeat encourages the cognitive development during the important stages of fetal development. The way we learn is through repetition, which eventually imprints in our memory. This in turn benefits babies in so many ways from their sleep schedule to being able to self soothe. It's amazing to see what an influence using this simple concept could be in so many ways for a lifetime!

New on our website!
We have added an interactive lesson calendar. You can type in how many weeks you are pregnant, and you can create a "timetable" that personalizes your use of BabyPlus. There is even a place to write in notes of how your baby reacts during each session.
This is a fun way to keep track of your day by day pregnancy as well as the
interesting reactions your developing fetus has to the mother's heartbeat sounds of our prenatal care curriculum. Keep in mind that your heartbeat is the one constant sound your baby hears all the time.

We are celebrating my birthday to day here at the BabyPlus office!
Birthdays are such fun! I cherish celebrating with my children because each birthday is such a milestone in their eyes. For example, turning 8 is "turning the snowman." Turning ten is "double digits." Turning 13 is "being in the teens, finally!" So, today I turned.........nope, not saying!
How do you prepare for the actual birth day? Well, first, talk to your doctor or healthcare professional and ask what to expect at this amazing time. Take notes!
You may decide to take a class or two to prepare for the big day. You may also decide to take a tour of the hospital. Try to remember to get as many questions as you can answered beforehand.
Also, you will need to pack - for yourself and for baby! Search online, in pregnancy magazines, or in pregnancy books to find a
compiled list. While you are online, read some articles on prenatal development, learning in the womb, and the critical times in child development.
Remember to take a car seat to the hospital since most hospitals won't let you leave without one.
Once you give birth - the real fun begins. Think of how many birthdays you will celebrate with your new baby!
Happy Birth Day!
Using a prenatal curriculum, such as BabyPlus, during the early stages of prenatal development can have many benefits over your child's lifetime. A lot of moms can agree. However, getting started can sometimes be confusing.
The important idea to remember is that each lesson is to be used an equal number of days, with the exception of lesson 16, which will be longer or shorter depending on the actual day you deliver. Also, keep in mind that the BabyPlus Lesson Schedule is based on days, not weeks.
The Usage Chart is to be used just once to determine your schedule. For example, if you are in your 19th week of pregnancy when you start BabyPlus, you will use each lesson twice a day for 9 days.
You will use Lesson #1 twice a day for 9 days. Then you will start Lesson #2 and use it twice a day for 9 days. Then you will start Lesson #3 and use it twice a day for 9 days and continue through each lesson twice a day for 9 days. On the 16th lesson, you may go for more or less than 9 days depending on when you deliver. Just continue with lesson 16 until you deliver.
Prenatal care can be looked at several ways. It's not just doctor visits and reading about day-by-day pregnancy. It can be viewed as a pregnant mom taking care of her outside by using lotion to keep her skin moist, which will help lessen stretch marks, for example. It can also be viewed as a woman taking care of her inside while pregnant by eating a balanced, healthy diet or taking prenatal vitamins. But what about prenatal care within the womb for the actual baby?
Many tend to think that taking vitamins, eating healthy and caring for themselves is the most that they can do during pregnancy. Studies are showing benefits for not only the mom but her baby as well. For example, using the BabyPlus Prenatal Education System provides so many benefits for fetal development and for mom, it can provide a relaxing distraction and time for bonding with her baby.
I think looking at prenatal care differently can not only benefit mom but her baby as well.

People are blogging about BabyPlus!
Many days we find that people have written an independent blog about the BabyPlus Prenatal Education System. This blog is titled "The Mother Hen Baby Concierge - Helping Expectant Parents Navigate Each Stage From Bump, Baby,
and Beyond." On Wednesday, September 10, 2008, the reviewer posted a short paragraph calling this the "in utero iPod." She used the BabyPlus with her first child, and is now using the system with her second child. Having a baby who latches on easily for breast feeding and sleeps well through the night or has a good sleeping schedule is possible if you use the BabyPlus prenatal care curriculum. Just a quick update from your "Feet on the Street". I was visiting my "high risk pregnancy" friend yesterday and saw something I've NEVER seen before. She said her baby was very active all the time, but yesterday I saw for myself just what she meant. We were sitting on her couch talking, and suddenly her dress started moving and flapping around. At first, I thought it was just her moving, but I saw that her abdomen would push out in several different directions at the same time and it became very obvious that it was actually the baby. We started laughing about it, and the baby really started moving. If I didn't know that she was in her third trimester, I would have thought she had a puppy under her dress. She said he moved like that a lot, and that she would used BabyPlus when she needed a rest. She stated that BabyPlus has actually started putting the baby to sleep, so when he becomes so active as to cause her pain, she would bring out BabyPlus.
My friend and I have talked about the benefits of prenatal stimulation, so I'm very happy that she can use the BabyPlus Prenatal Education System to stimulate her prenatal child's development. Lucky for her, she can also use it to enhance his sleeping schedule as well.
I know my friend will have a smart baby, but I wonder if she's ready for a future Olympic gymnast?
I'll keep you posted!!!
Your "Feet on the Street".
OK you Dads-To-Be, Listen up! You guys are going to take really good care of the Mom-To-Be in your life. Remember men, she's the pregnant one, not you. She needs the TLC and you are just the one to give it to her.
Last time we talked about all the things that you have to investigate and learn about when you are having a baby. Fetal development, baby stimulation and how to have a smart baby are just a few. Not to mention all the infant sleeping schedules, breast feeding schedules and even something called prenatal learning!
Well let me tell you all that is fine and good, but if your Mom-To-Be is not happy, that's not good for anyone. So let's try to help her feel comfortable. It will result in a happier and healthier baby and mom.
Previously I explained how to give your lady a back massage, well how does a foot massage sound to you? I'll tell you what, it will sound like heaven to her! No doubt about it. I'm going to give you a few pointer about foot massage.
Fill a large tub with warm water, and then add Epsom salts and eucalyptus oil. Place the tub on a towel in front of a comfortable chair or sofa. Have your Mom-To-Be sit down and place her feet in the tub and soak for 5-10 minutes. Then dry her feet with a soft fluffy towel.
Do basic stretches with the foot; pushing the top of the foot away from you and pulling the top toward you.

Warm up the foot by rubbing it all over and appling lotion or oil in a sweeping motion. Include the top, heel and arch. Gliding strokes work best. It is important to rub the entire foot first to warm it up. If you start to apply deep pressure to the foot before warming it up, there is a greater risk of causing injury.

Cup the foot with your hands and squeeze with the appropriate amount of pressure. You may move up and down as you are holding the foot.

Wrap your hand around the top of the foot, and then apply pressure with your fist to the underside of the foot. You can apply pressure by pushing in and out or in a circular motion.

Using your thumb and a moderate amount of pressure, start at the top of the foot on each side. Now glide toward the bottom along the sides of the foot. There are tendons that run along each side of the foot, these can be good to stretch.

Wrapping your hands around the foot from the front, squeeze firmly and pull upward alternating hands as you pull upward.

Rotate each toe starting the largest working to the smallest.
Finish giving a foot massage with a few sweeping strokes then gently rest your hands on her feet.
Trust me, she will love it!
