When Columbus said that the world was round, everyone thought he was crazy and had no clue what he was talking about.  He was ridiculed, and I bet if the internet would have been around in 1492, there probably would have been blogs and sites saying how crazy he and his followers were.

Christopher Columbus never gave up on his idea and risked a lot for his convictions, which ended up being truth.  So, the next time you come across something that seems "out there" or weird, remember all inventions or notions started with someone sticking with their idea even when everyone said it was impossible or dumb.  You never know, it may ended up being the real thing.
