The past couple of mornings have been quite foggy. In fact, there was even a dense fog advisory for some of our state until 11:00 am! After having a baby, life can seem like you are in your own personal fog. You feel that you are just going through the motions. Having a baby is one of the most wonderful experiences of your life and it's easy to question how you can feel this way.
Many women deal differently with these feelings. Some try to ignore them and figure they will go away, while others feel guilty or angry that they have no control.
Postpartum depression is something that you cannot ignore and the intensity varies with each woman. Your body has gone through many physical and hormonal adjustments for nine months, then suddenly within minutes, it is instantly changed. It's no surprise it can cause a bit of a shock to your system!
