Some days I wonder if we will ever see green grass and the sun again! I know my boys are definitely feeling cabin fever and geting a little restless staying inside so much. Coming up with new things to do can be difficult when you are in the same surroundings day in and day out.
My sister had a terrific idea with my twin nephews--they went to the beach! She got out the beach towels and sunglasses and blew up beach balls. They laid in the sun, went swimming on inner tubes in the living room and built sandcastles out of blocks. The best thing was they didn't even have to leave the house!
Kids don't need a lot of fancy toys or to go to exotic places to use their imagination. A little creativity can go a long way and playing pretend is good for little kids and big kids alike!
