BabyPlus

To me, Friday is like a big sigh that I've made it through another week.  Even though I catch up on laundry and everything else I didn't get to during the week, I switch to a more casual mode.  The office here tends to have that atmosphere as well and celebrates a week well done.  And even though I enjoy sharing about prenatal curriculum during fetal development or pregnancy tips and hints, I think I'll use casual day to my advantage and just write a more laid back blog on Fridays. 

The year is winding down and another semester is over with school.  It was a rough one, too.  My oldest started his first year in Junior High, and it was quite a challenge to adapt to seven different teachers with seven different requirements. I love him more than anything, but I can admit that he is not the most organized child (or the most focused.)  We struggled together, but I think he's actually coming around.  This morning, he told me that when he goes back to school in January, it will be a new semester with a clean slate and fresh start.  That was great to hear!  So, we'll see where we start from after two weeks of less structure.  I think he'll get it though!

Here it is, less than a week before Christmas, and it has crept up on me and is closer than I realize.  Yet every year I vow to get better.  It hasn't quite happened, but at least this year, I'm not letting it stress me out too bad.  (Maybe I'm learning from all my blogs emphasizing the fact that we put too much pressure on ourselves and should give ourselves a break!) 

So, that's my week in review.  It's cold and rainy and gloomy as I look out the front door, and I am ready for the weekend to relax and snuggle in.  Then, it will be back to work on Monday spreading the word about BabyPlus and all the wonderful benefits of encouraging learning before birth.  I hope you, too, have a wonderful and relaxing weekend.
