Nutrition during pregnancy is so important and critical throughout fetal development.  I think most pregnant women understand healthy eating with fruits, vegetables and lean protein, but how many apples and chicken breasts can one person eat!  Also, you may find that certain foods you were able to eat before pregnancy don't appeal to you now or may disagree with your digestion.  In addition, there are many foods with nutritional value that you may not even be aware of.  Variety is important throughout pregnancy so that your healthy eating habits will continue long after your baby is born.  In turn, this will carry over good nutrition habits with your baby that he or she can take well into their lives.
