little girl calls 911 and saves her father's life!

On April 23,  Ed Ostrand was dumping a 5 gallon bucket of sea water over a sea wall in his backyard.  Unfortunately, he fell down the sea wall head first and landed on an oyster bed.  Since it was low tide, his head hit the oyster bed and felt as if it had been "hit with a sledge hammer."

Fortunately, his daughter Lexie was right there and saw the whole Source: www.truecrimereport.comincident.  She said, "Daddy you are hurt and bleeding bad."  She quickly ran into the house and called 911.  She knew her address and was able to get emergency services to their home.  Lexie's dad needed over 50 stitches to his face.

How is this relevant to us?  Well, Lexie is a BabyPlus baby of course!  Great work Lexie!

What an amazing and inspiration story!
Once my babyplus 3 year old was able to master her numbers/counting and is now working on basic math, I knew she was ready to learn about 911.
We have a few friends that work at the local firehouse as well as my cousin recently married a Firefighter. I took my daughter to the firehouse, We made an afternoon of it, she got into the trucks (fire & ambulance) , blew down a firehose, toured that house, saw where they slept and was even there when a call came in and watch them get ready and leave. All during this we call talked about 911, she practiced it on several (UNPLUGGED) phones. She totally understand what 911 will do and I now we are working on her memorizing her address.
