Breastfeeding Moms

I was unable to breastfeed with either of my two boys.  I tried with my oldest, but we had so much trouble that we went to formula.  It seemed that I was getting stressed trying which in turn passed to him; we couldn’t stop the cycle.  With my second, he was quite bruised from the birthing process that he couldn’t get his mouth open wide enough and I couldn’t bear forcing him.  In either case, I started feeling like a […] Read more »

Angelina Jolie Magazine Cover Debate

There has been a lot of controversy surrounding the magazine cover showing Angelina Jolie breastfeeding one of her new twins.  I think both sides have very valid points, but it is a very personal choice that each side should respect.  On one hand, people say that breastfeeding should be done in private and be inconspicuous.  On the other hand, people say that breastfeeding is a natural part of life and should be accepted.  Whichever side you are on, I think […] Read more »

BabyPlus–A Universal Language

I just got back from a long anticipated family vacation to Disney World.  I would have to say my favorite park to visit was Epcot.  Experiencing all the different countries and cultures in one place was wonderful!  We strolled through a marketplace in Morocco and stood in front of a temple in Mexico, all in one day.  It was also fascinating to be walking through an area and hear all the different languages that people were speaking, not just English.  […] Read more »
